Number 34: Intercontinental Championship Tournament Final Match Razor Ramon defeated Rick Martel October 11, 1993
Razor Ramon wasn't the only Superstar oozing machismo in the contest. "The Model" Rick Martel and Ramon were the co-winners of a 20 Man Battle Royal the previous week on RAW, setting the stage for a one-on-one clash for the vacant Intercontinental Championship
Martel took control early on and wasted no time taunting "The Bad Guy" with slaps to the back of the head, followed by some jumping jacks in the ring. But Razor refused to be show up, turning the momentum back in his favor throughout the match with a fallaway slam and big shoulder blocks. A body slam to the arena floor hurt Ramon's lower back, and "The Model" target the injury by stomping away before trapping him in his Boston Crab. Remarkably, Razor escaped the painful submission hold twice in a row and found the strength to plant Martel into the canvas with the Razor's Edge. The crowd came unglued as "The Bad Guy" pulled off the tough win and captured the first of his four Intercontinental Championship regins.
