Number 20: WWE Championship Match Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) fought Ken Shamrock to a No Contest September 14, 1998
With Raw’s fulfillment of commercial breaks complete for the evening on Sept. 14, 1998, the WWE Universe was treated to an uninterrupted battle between WWE Champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and MMA legend Ken Shamrock. After Shamrock made his entrance, the unmistakable sound of glass breaking rang through the arena and The Texas Rattlesnake made his way to the ring.
Austin did not wait for the opening bell and attacked The World’s Most Dangerous Man as soon as he stepped through the ropes. It wasn’t long until Shamrock rebounded and the two ring warriors traded momentum for the duration of the contest. As they brawled back and forth, The Undertaker and Kane made their way to the ring to attack both competitors. Chaos ensued as Mankind and The Rock countered The Brothers of Destruction before Austin chased after Mr. McMahon. The match ended without a conclusion, but it certainly was one of Raw’s best.
